Want your campers to spend their summer at MIT? Well, we have the next best thing! Our virtual Programming with Scratch camp will give your campers an early advantage in coding using the MIT-developed visual programming language, Scratch. By using a beginner-friendly interface, campers will program original games, animations, stories, quizzes, and much more. Signing your camper up for this virtual camp will put them on the path towards understanding one of the world’s most crucial languages; programming!
In this course, campers will use drag and drop block interface, author complex scripts that exemplify the same concepts used in more advanced languages, program original content, and learn essential coding skills.
This virtual camp runs Monday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. OR 12:15 p.m to 2:15 p.m.
Virtual Camp Requirements:
- Windows PC or Mac
- Stable internet connection for web-based programming
- Access to Zoom Video Conferencing
- Access to a web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari
- Ability to work independently & complete follow up assignments
